Poltimore Festival is a student-run not-for-profit charity festival that showcases the best in independent music, theatre, film, art, and so much more from in and around the West-Country. We work to provide a platform for independent and underrepresented artists, as well as creating a collaborative space for a wide range of local charities.
Our festival has two main goals: to provide a platform for independent and underrepresented artists in the South-West, and to raise money for Poltimore House and Grounds, so that they can continue to create a community space with rehabilitation and therapy support groups. The money raised helps restore the House and Grounds, facilitating projects that develop positive wellbeing practices for individuals going through a rehabilitation journey or therapeutic treatment. However, the festival is a collaborative space for a wide range of local charities beyond Poltimore House.
We run the festival out of the beautiful yet dilapidated 18th century manor house Poltimore House and Gardens. The house has been everything from a home for refugees to an NHS hospital, and the festival takes this beautiful building and transforms it into a bohemian paradise.
